LONDON. JANUARY XX., the pioneering fan engagement and rewards app has ranked 50th in The STA Group’s 2023 Sports Technology Power List, placing ahead of some of the industry’s leading’s digital pioneers including EA Sports, Real Madrid and Adidas.

Red Bull Racing replaces Formula 1 at the top of the annual list comprising the top 100 brands, predominantly rights holders, at the forefront of the sector. Improving on last year’s rank of 77th, placed as the highest blockchain platform and was just one of two blockchain organisations to feature alongside football fantasy game Sorare (93rd).

Inaugurated in 2020, STA Group’s Annual Sports Technology Power List recognises sports organisations’ cutting edge approaches to implementing technology within sports, celebrating the brands which are shaping the future generation of innovation. 

2023 marked an evolutionary year for as the platform grew to 2 million users, increased its user base by 30% and launched Fan Tokens with five new clubs including Premier League giant, Tottenham Hotspur.

The year also saw improvements and a host of new features added to the app, as well as significant technological developments and further implementation of Fan Tokens into partner fan engagement ecosystems. 

Spurs integrated Fan Tokens into its existing club membership scheme, a first of its kind for, and a dozen partners web-integrated our platform into their club’s official channels, giving fans yet another new way to experience Fan Tokens.

The year also saw the app break new ground in fan engagement through unique activations such as AS Monaco and Atletico Madrid’s campaign to feature club fans in official team photos shoots, Trabzonspor’s poll giving fans the chance to choose new signing Nicolas Pepe’s shirt number and Johor Darul Ta’zim’s Fan Token integration providing discounts to fans at food vendors including Starbucks and Subway at their home stadium.’s Top 50 listing kickstarts a promising year having been commended earlier this month for its ‘Fan In The Box’ escape room campaign with AS Roma at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai. The Serie A club picked up the ‘Best Digital Content in Serie A’ alongside for the initiative which gave six fortunate AS Roma Fan Token holders a unique escape room experience with club legend Vincent Candela in a suite at the Stadio Olimpico.
