The upgrading process of decimal Fan Tokens on any other platform may be subject to different instructions, fees or requirements.
Decimal Fan Tokens™ are Fan Tokens™ with 18 decimal precision.
Before, it was only possible to own Fan Tokens™ in whole numbers, but the introduction of 18 decimal precision enables fractional ownership.
This is an important upgrade that aligns Fan Tokens™ with blockchain industry standards for digital assets and enables greater integration with decentralised applications, wallets and exchanges.
Upgrading to decimal Fan Tokens™ is free and straightforward.
The upgrade will be carried out in at least three phases, beginning in September 2025. You may have to undergo the upgrade process multiple times depending on which Fan Tokens you are holding.

Upgrading to decimal Fan Tokens™ is necessary if you want to continue using the Socios.com Wallet and its features. Upgrading is free and straightforward, even if your Fan Tokens are currently staked.
Important – if you are staking Fan Tokens™, you will not need to unstake and your Reward Points will not be affected.

Upgrading to decimal Fan Tokens is fundamental to ensuring full and continued use of Socios.com.
Access to voting and other token-gated in-app features will be through decimal Fan Tokens only. Trading of non-decimal Fan Tokens will no longer be supported. It will be possible to send non-decimal Fan Tokens to Socios.com, however you will automatically be invited to upgrade them to decimal Fan Tokens.
You will also have the option to transfer your Fan Tokens to a third-party wallet or exchange and close your account.

You won’t lose access to your non-decimal Fan Tokens. When you log-in to Socios.com and the upgrade is ready for your respective Fan Tokens, you will be asked to either upgrade, or transfer your assets to an external wallet or exchange. Please make sure you send your tokens to an exchange or wallet that supports non-decimal Fan Tokens, or you could lose your tokens.
Yes. So, for instance, let’s say you’re holding or staking 5 $JUV Fan Tokens. Once the conversion is complete, you will have 5 $JUV Tokens – but to 18 decimal precision.
You will not need to unstake. You will be invited to confirm your intention to upgrade in the app and your Fan Tokens will be upgraded automatically. Your Reward Points will not be affected.
No. The minimum amount to stake will be 1 Fan Token.
Yes, and with greater versatility and flexibility than before because decimal Fan Tokens™ enable fractional ownership.
Yes. Voting and other token-gated in-app features will be restricted to decimal Fan Tokens™. Note – a minimum of 1 Fan Token™ will be needed to vote, and you will only be able to vote with whole Fan Tokens, e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and so on.
Yes. You will still be able to send non-decimal Fan Tokens into the Socios.com wallet. But you will be prompted to convert them to decimal Fan Tokens the next time you log-in. You will need to upgrade the Fan Tokens before you can regain full access to the app. This will be the case even if you already have decimal Fan Tokens in the app.
Yes.
But it is important to check that the exchange or wallet supports the new decimal Fan Tokens you wish to withdraw.
Also, as decimal Fan Tokens have new contract addresses, you will need to add the new contract address to any third party wallet – such as MetaMask- you wish to withdraw to.
To reiterate – as there will now be 2 addresses for Fan Tokens, please be extra careful to select the correct address for your decimal Fan Tokens when sending them to third party wallets and exchanges.
If you keep your Fan Tokens on an Exchange or on your Web3 Wallet (E.g. MetaMask), there are ways to ensure that your Fan Tokens are upgraded to their Decimal version:
- Keep them on the Exchange where they are and wait: The platform should process the upgrade without you having to do anything. Note that we cannot promise when or how they will process the upgrade.
- Connect to app.fantokens.com with your Web3 wallet and process the upgrade on our platform. Note that this will incur fees for the upgrade itself.
- Send them to your Socios.com Wallet address, then connect to Socios.com and follow the instructions. Note that while the upgrade on Socios.com is free, there will still be network fees for the transfer to the Socios.com Wallet.
