GAZİANTEP, FEBRUARY 25TH: Turkish Super League club Gaziantep FK, in partnership with Chiliz, the leading global blockchain provider for the sports and entertainment industry, have announced that the $GFK Fan Token will be launched on Monday, February 28th, at 11:00 am (CET), 13:00 pm in Gaziantep (Turkey).
Fan Tokens are collectible digital assets that give sports fans access to a new digital service provided by their favourite clubs through the Socios.com app. Benefits include the right to take part in decision-making processes by voting in polls, access to exclusive discounts and rewards and the chance to earn unique prizes and rewards through games, competitions and other features.
During 2021, Socios.com Fan Token partners launched over 300 Fan Polls, with fans voting on kit designs, squad numbers, inspirational messages and other fan-related decisions. Up to 5,000 Fan Token holders were rewarded with signed jerseys, tickets and VIP experiences through the Socios.com app. This year Socios.com is aiming to reward over 17,000 users.
125,000 $GFK Fan Tokens will be released at 1€ each in what will be the first Turkey Fan Token Offering (FTO®) of the year. As part of the efforts to increase opportunities for fans to benefit from this new opportunity, Socios.com has introduced a new format whichs spans four days across three stages:
- Wave 1 – Will start Monday at 11.00 CET and will go on for 72 hours (or until end of stock) with Fan Tokens purchases capped at 20 $GFK per user.
- Wave 2 – Will start on Thursday (March 3rd) at 11:00 CET and will go on for two hours (or until end of stock) with Fan Token purchases capped at 50 $GFK per user.
- Wave 3 – Will start on Thursday (March 3rd) at 13:00 CET and will go on for 24 hours (or until end of stock) with Fan Token purchases capped at 100 $GFK per user.
The first Fan Poll will include goal song selection for team, that will echo through Kalyon Stadium throughout the season. $GFK holders will be able to choose the best song from options.
One $GFK Fan Token will be enough to vote on this poll and the rest of the polls that Gaziantep FK will be launching on the Socios.com app in the coming months, but fans owning more tokens will have a higher influence (each vote is multiplied by the number of tokens owned) and more chances to earn rewards.
Gaziantep FK, the seventh football club from Turkey to launch its Fan Token on Socios.com, joins a network of over 60 sporting organisations worldwide that are already using the digital assets created by Socios.com to engage with their fans.
