Socios Fans Unite To Select Ultimate XI

Football fans have long dreamed about the prospect of Ronaldo and Messi lining up alongside one another, but now, thanks to Socios United, the wait is finally over.

For the first ever Socios United poll, we asked fans to choose their starting eleven from our roster of partner clubs and the results are in.

Socios United Fans used their $SSU Fan Tokens to select a world class attacking 4-3-3 line-up that would strike fear into the hearts of every other team on the planet!


Wojciech  Szczęsny – 36.4% (Juventus) 

Szczęsny beat off competition from the likes of Jan Oblak and Marc-André Ter Stegen to claim the No.1 shirt after an impressive season in Turin.


Jordi Alba – 51.8% (Barcelona)

Spanish international Alba combines brilliant technique with quick forward bursts that have allowed Messi & Barca’s other leading lights to shine in recent seasons. Alba’s strongest competition for the left back spot came from dynamic Juventus star Alex Sandro.


Felipe – 51.74% (Atlético de Madrid)

Atlético ironman Felipe didn’t even play football professionally until the age of 22 and now the former Porto man has another accolade – a place in the Socios United dream team!


Matthijs De Ligt – 51.27% (Juventus)

De Ligt, one of the most promising defensive talents in world football, claims a spot at the heart of the Socios United defence, beating Barcelona great Gerard Piqué.


Juan Guillermo Cuadrado – 51.02% (Juventus)

Cuadrado has regularly been deployed as an attacking full back by Maurizio Sarri this season, performing admirably in the process. Cuadrado fought off strong competition from the likes of Thomas Meunier, Kieran Trippier and Mariano to earn his spot in the team.


Sergio Busquets – 58.1% (Barcelona)

Barcelona legend Busquets is still one of the finest defensive midfielders in the world, earning his place in the Socios United team ahead of tenacious Juventus star Rodrigo Bentancur.


Frenkie De Jong – 63.82% (Barcelona)

De Jong has enjoyed a decent first season at the Camp Nou, with the versatile midfielder adding both creativity and defensive qualities to the Socios United ranks. 


Marco Verratti – 42.38% (Paris Saint-Germain)

Italian international Verratti completes the Socios United engine room, adding technique and plenty of hard work to the side. Verratti beat stars including Koke and Arturo Vidal to a place in the team.


Cristiano Ronaldo – 76.8% (Juventus)

At 35-years of age, Ronaldo continues to break records and remains, arguably, the most formidable footballing weapon on the face of the earth.  CR7 beat Neymar, Griezmann and Onyekuro to a place in the Socios United Dream Team.


Lionel Messi – 74.91% (Barcelona)

Genius, talisman, legend. The mercurial Argentine sails into the Socios United team, beating the likes of Ángel Di María, Paulo Dybala, and João Félix to a spot on the right side of our 3-pronged attack.


Kylian Mbappé – 66.96% (Paris Saint-Germain)

Prodigiously talented French phenomenon Mbappé perfectly complements Ronaldo and Messi either side of him, adding pace, technique and deadly finishing to the Socios United Dream Team.
