Here’s your matchday playbook for summer 2026.
How to Run the Fan Tokens™ Matchday Playbook
The matchday playbook has four simple steps:
- Play the Token Hunt: Discover National Team Fan Tokens™, Chiliz (CHZ) and Reward Points every matchday.
- Stake Before Kick-off: Become eligible for the Match Win Bonus if your team wins.
- Keep Your Squad Sharp: Update your Squad Me Up lineup and earn extra transfer slots through the prediction game.
- Watch the Leaderboard: Help your nation’s fanbase compete in the weekly staking race.
That’s the loop: hunt, stake, play, earn.
You can repeat this play every matchday through Nations in Play, which runs from June 11 to July 19. Whether you joined before the tournament or during the competition, the playbook is the same.
Step 1: Play the Token Hunt
The token hunt is a matchday activity on Socios.com where fans can discover National Team Fan Tokens™, $CHZ tokens, and Reward Points.
Every hunt covers the full 24-hour period before kick-off until the match concludes. For each hunt, there will be a pool of:
– 2,026 Fan Tokens™
- 2,026 $CHZ
- 100,000 Reward Points
National Team Fan Tokens™ are digital assets linked to a national football team on Socios.com. The Chiliz ($CHZ) token is the native token of the Chiliz ecosystem. Reward Points are Socios.com loyalty points that can be redeemed on the app.
The Token Hunt is your first game before the big game, and the first step in your matchday routine. Before you settle in for kick-off, play the hunt and see what you can discover.
Step 2: Stake Before Kick-off
Staking means committing your Fan Tokens™ to Socios.com temporarily so they can generate Reward Points over time, and this must be carried out before a match kicks off to earn the maximum rewards.
If you stake your National Team Fan Tokens™ before kick-off, and your team wins, you’ll be eligible to earn the Match Win Bonus. This effectively doubles your staking rewards from that day, giving you 100% extra on top of what you’ve already earned.
Just remember: stake your tokens before kick-off.
Step 3: Keep Your Squad Sharp
Track the success of your Squad Me Up lineup, the fantasy football-style game, where fans build and manage a starting XI during the tournament.
On a matchday, your job is to keep your squad sharp by assessing your lineup for each round, making changes where needed, and earning extra transfer slots by predicting results in daily games.
Squad Me Up is separate from staking, but it adds a layer of fantasy football gamification to the matchday routine. Before the next kick-off, check your squad, update your lineup, and make your predictions for extra swaps.
Then move back to the main loop: hunt, stake, play, earn.
Step 4: Don’t Forget the Weekly Leaderboard
The weekly Staking Leaderboard turns Nations in Play into a fanbase competition. Every week, the national team fanbase with the highest total number of Fan Tokens™ staked wins extra Reward Points.
The leaderboard snapshot takes place every Sunday at 23:59 CEST, so make sure your tokens are staked by then, otherwise you’ll be ineligible for rewards if your fanbase wins.
If you are staking the winning nation’s Fan Token™ at the time of the snapshot, you can earn a bonus equal to 100% of the Reward Points earned from staking that asset during that week.
Matchdays are about staking before kick-off, Sundays are about the snapshot.

What should I do on a matchday?
Every matchday, follow the Nations in Play loop: play the Token Hunt, stake your eligible National Team Fan Token™ before kick-off, update your Squad Me Up lineup, and follow the weekly Staking Leaderboard.
How often does a new token hunt start?
A new Token Hunt opens every international matchday whenever a Fan Token™ national team is playing, from 11 June to 19 July 2026. Players can discover National Team Fan Tokens™, CHZ and Reward Points.
When do I need to stake to earn the Match Win bonus?
You need to stake at least 1 Fan Token™ of an eligible national team before that team’s match kicks off. If the team wins, you earn a bonus equal to 100% of the Reward Points earned from staking that Fan Token™ on that match day.
When is the weekly leaderboard decided?
The weekly Staking Leaderboard snapshot takes place every Sunday at 23:59 CEST. The nation with the most Fan Tokens™ staked wins the week, and eligible supporters of that nation receive bonus Reward Points on Monday.
Can I still take part if I join mid-tournament?
Yes, you can join during the tournament. To take part, choose an eligible National Team Fan Token™, stake before your team’s next kick-off for the Match Win Bonus, and make sure you are staked before the Sunday 23:59 CEST snapshot for the weekly Staking Leaderboard.
