Part of Socios’ Nations in Play campaign, Squad Me Up is a noncustodial app that lets users assemble their dream squad in a 4-4-2 formation, with each country-position slot occupied by a Fan Token™ they hold in their wallet.
As the summer 2026 global tournament progresses, players will be able to tweak their team and compete for prizes including physical merchandise and Socios Reward Points.
Built on Chiliz Chain, Base, and Solana, the fantasy football dApp is aimed at those who already hold Fan Tokens™ as well as fans interested in doing so. But to be in with the best chance of topping the leaderboard, you’ll need to hold the tokens needed to fill your team slots before the tournament gets underway later this week.

How to Play Squad Me Up Fantasy Football dApp
With Squad Me Up, your Fan Tokens™ are your entry ticket: you need them to fill your 11 slots. Every asset in your wallet is key to unlocking part of the gameplay.
In total, there are 103 options across 39 competing nations, and you must choose slots representing a goalkeeper, four defenders, four midfielders, and two strikers.
Rather than picking specific players, you choose 11 country-position slots (i.e. Spain midfielder), unlocked by the Fan Tokens™ you hold, and thereafter compete with others according to how your lineup fares in the tournament.
It’s important to know that the more users pick a slot, the more of that Fan Token™ you need to hold to unlock it. Because early backers pledge less, it’s best to get your squad ready well before kickoff.
The great thing about Squad Me Up, aside from it being noncustodial (the app never holds, moves, or locks tokens: no on-chain transactions, no blockchain fees), is that multiple wallets are supported. In addition to 1-step connect via WalletConnect or MetaMask, the game works with external wallets such as Trust Wallet and Rainbow.

How to Earn Points
With your 4-4-2 team assembled and locked, there’s not much you can do but hope your team takes care of business on the pitch: keeping clean sheets, conceding precious few goals, and scoring a boatload.
Squad Me Up uses team-level facts only, such as goals scored/conceded, clean sheets, and appearances. There is one leaderboard per round plus a rolling global/season leaderboard, with top performers winning prizes.
Making Changes to Your Lineup
It is possible to make transfers from round to round. Two are permitted in matchday two and three; unlimited transfers are allowed in the round of 32; 3 in the round of 16; and five in quarterfinal, semifinal, and final.
Each transfer beyond free and earned-swap quotas charges -4 points to the upcoming round’s score. A warning modal is shown before confirmation.
Earned-swap quotas refer to extra transfers which can be earned by correctly predicting match outcomes/scores in Squad Me Up’s match prediction mini-game.
With the match prediction mini-game, users submit a 1×2 outcome and/or exact final score before each round’s first kickoff. All predictions are evaluated on the 90-minute score. Awards are as follows:
• Correct 1×2 outcome: +1 prediction swap.
• Correct exact score: +3 prediction swaps (subsumes the 1×2 award; max = +3 per match).
• Incorrect predictions cost nothing.
Lineups lock at kickoff of the first match of the relevant round, and all 11 slots must be filled at kickoff to earn any points. The previous round’s lineup carries forward if no changes are made.
What If Your Team Gets Eliminated?
If one of your national teams is eliminated from the summer 2026 global tournament, you don’t have to swap the slots occupied by that token. The slot will remain ‘filled’ and count towards lineup completeness, earning 0 points per subsequent round. You can, however, swap using your free transfer allowances – but this is optional.
Players joining after the first round are obviously absent from the previous round’s leaderboard, again highlighting the importance of compiling your squad early to maximize your prospects of success.
What Happens in a Tie Break?
In cases of a tie break, where players are level on points, there is a hierarchy in the following order: 1) Total points in the leaderboard scope (round or global), 2) Total quantity of eligible Fan Tokens™ staked on Socios at the staking snapshot timestamp, 3) USD-equivalent value of the same staked tokens at the same snapshot timestamp, 4) Datetime of first complete 11-slot lineup submission (earlier = higher rank).
To clarify, staking on Socios is only relevant to the tie break scenario, in that staking improves your tie break standing.
