– 75,000 $APL were sold on fan voting and rewards app Socios.com with a further 25,000 sold on Chiliz.net – the world’s first tokenised sports exchange.
– $APL will go on sale again on Friday August 28th. Price will be determined by supply and demand.
LIMASSOL 25th August 2020: Apollon Limassol FC have announced that the initial supply for their $APL Fan Token has sold out in 6 minutes after launching on fan voting and rewards app Socios.com and Chiliz.net – the world’s first tokenised sports exchange.
100,000 $APL Fan Tokens were made available at a fixed price of €1 in the flash sale, which ran across both Socios.com and Chiliz.net, with $APL sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
$APL will be available for purchase again from Friday August 28th on Socios.com and Chiliz.net, but price will be determined by supply and demand.
Fan Tokens are digital assets which offer increased fan engagement on voting & rewards app Socios.com. Fans can use their Tokens to vote in polls and to be in with the chance of winning digital and real-life rewards.
$APL Fan Token holders can vote in a series of launch polls, choosing players to go head to head in a skills challenge with selected voters to be invited to the training ground to award the winner.
$APL holders will be able to influence club decisions, voting in many polls each season on Socios.com and earning rewards linked to the club, including innovative digital experiences and real-life activations, such as meeting players and watching games as a VIP when fans return to the stadiums.
A Leaderboard feature, where fans will receive rewards points based on how they interact with Apollon FC through the app will be launched in the near future, allowing fans to compete to become the number 1 fan in their region/country. A Chat feature and Games will also be launched on Socios.com in the coming months.
Socios.com Fan Token partners include FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, AS Roma, Galatasaray, CA Independiente and esports giants OG. CA Independiente of Argentina and Spanish esports team Heretics will also launch their Fan Tokens today.
As many as 50 IPs from the world of sports and entertainment are primed to join the Socios.com platform in 2020.
