Four days later, it’s the toughest group stage game, as Mexico provides stiffer opposition at the same stadium as the first match.
The final group stage game is against Poland on the 30th of November at Stadium 974, and Argentina will try to top the group with another full set of points.
The teams advancing to the final stage will play the top two teams from group D. This group is composed of Australia, Denmark, France and Tunisia. In theory, France should lead the group and Denmark should usually take second place but this is a World Championship and nothing is certain.
If Argentina and Brazil finish top of their respective groups, the two favourites could meet in the semi-finals if they both advance from their respective qualifying rounds. This match would be played on Tuesday 13th December.
