ROME, MARCH 4TH:  Four time FIFA World Cup winners and reigning European champions Italy, in partnership with Chiliz, the leading global blockchain provider for the sports and entertainment industry, have announced that the $ITA Fan Token will be launched on Monday, March 7th, at 14 PM (CET).

Fan Tokens are collectible digital assets that give sports fans access to a new digital service provided by their favourite clubs through the app. Benefits include the right to take part in decision-making processes by voting in polls, access to exclusive discounts and the chance to earn unique prizes and rewards through games, competitions and other features.

During 2021, Fan Token partners launched over 300 Fan Polls, with fans voting on kit designs, squad numbers, inspirational messages and other fan-related decisions. More than 5,000 Fan Token holders were rewarded with signed jerseys, tickets and VIP experiences through the app. This year is aiming to reward over 17,000 users.  

The launching price of the $ITA Fan Tokens as well as the FTO® supply and the caps per user will be announced shortly on the and the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) social media channels.

Two Fan Polls will be available as soon as the FTO® starts, giving $ITA Fan Token holders the chance to play an active role in the Qatar 2022 qualifying match that Italy will play against North Macedonia on March 24th. $ITA Fan Token holders will be asked to vote on an inspirational message to be installed in Italy’s locker room and also on the song to be played at Stadio Renzo Barbera to celebrate Italy’s goals. 

One $ITA Fan Token will be enough to vote on this poll and the rest of the polls that Italy will be launching on the app, but fans owning more tokens will have a higher influence and more chances to earn rewards. 

As part of the efforts to support Italy and its fans ahead of their decisive Qatar 2022 qualifier, is teaming up with Deliveroo, official partner of the Italian FA, who will be rewarding $ITA holders with a special treat to ensure the match has all the ingredients needed to make a perfect feast.    

Juventus became the first club in the world to launch a Fan Token in late 2019, with AS Roma, AC Milan, Inter Milan, SSC Napoli and Bologna FC also getting on board.
