Alessandro Del Piero ‘Back In Action’ As He Stars In New Socios.Com TV Ad

MAY 06TH:  Italy legend Alessandro Del Piero was revealed as the star of Socios.com’s first-ever TV commercial this afternoon after a Fabrizio Romano tweet, stating ‘one of the great number 10’s is back in action’, led to a flurry of social media speculation.

The tweet, which prompted responses from the likes of Gazzetta Dello Sport, Marca and Del Piero himself was revealed as a playful tease ahead of the premiere of Socios.com’s first-ever TV commercial, which features Del Piero and fellow global brand ambassador for Socios.com Lionel Messi.

Del Piero and Messi form a new dream team committed to promoting Socios.com and inspiring fans to join the most empowered community in sport.

Socios.com’s first-ever TV commercial will initially broadcast to mainstream audiences in Italy, Spain, Turkey and Brazil from Sunday May 08th onwards.

Del Piero scored 462 goals and was capped 91 times by the Italian national team during a glittering career which also saw him lift the 2006 FIFA World Cup with Italy and the 1996 UEFA Champions League with Juventus. Del Piero also collected multiple personal accolades, including the Serie A Footballer of the Year awards in 1998 and 2008.
