Turin, 5 September – Juventus, the most decorated club in the history of Italian football, and Socios.com, the blockchain-powered platform that is enhancing fan engagement across the global sports industry, are delighted to announce they are expanding their partnership to deliver more benefits and rewards for the Club’s fans through the JUV Fan Token. 

The Bianconeri first partnered with Socios.com in September 2018, becoming the second professional sporting organisation to join the fan engagement platform. Then, in late 2019, Juventus became the first club ever to launch its official Fan Token, opening a path that multiple leading clubs and brands worldwide have followed since.  

Fan Tokens are collectible digital assets that provide sports fans with a new tool to connect with their favorite teams and be rewarded for their loyalty. Through Fan Tokens, fans can take part in fan-related decisions by voting on fan polls, access special discounts, promotions and content, and earn a wide range of rewards, from official signed products to match tickets and VIP experiences.

Throughout the past five years, the collaboration between Juventus and Socios.com has proven to be a game-changer for the team’s millions of fans, while also providing a valuable platform for the club to expand its brand globally and consolidate a new revenue stream. 

Juventus has launched over 140 Fan Polls on the Socios.com app, giving its Fan Token holders the chance to choose the in-stadium goal celebration song, the design of the team bus, inspirational messages for the team’s locker room and many other other fan-related topics in which nearly 400,000 votes have been cast from fans across the world. In parallel, nearly 1,000 rewards linked to the club, from signed jerseys to once-in-a-lifetime experiences, have been given away to Juventus Fan Token holders through Socios.com.  

The JUV Fan Token has not only allowed Juventus fans to enjoy unprecedented opportunities to engage with the team and earn rewards, it’s also provided the club with an effective tool to engage with two key communities: their younger fans and their global fans. Over 65 percent of JUV Fan Token holders are aged under 40 and more than 30 percent are under 30. The Juventus FC Fan Token is spread across 139 different countries throughout all continents. 

Juventus and Socios.com are doubling down on their commitment to bring fans closer than ever to the club. That’s why both parties have agreed to increase the catalogue of benefits and rewards that Juventus fans will be able to access through the JUV Fan Token. Starting on the 2023-24 season, Juventus fans can look forward to playing dream matches at the Allianz Stadium and other benefits such as enjoying Early Access for match tickets, special discounted rates for the J Hotel, the J Museum and the Allianz Stadium Tour as well as for the Club’s membership programmes. 

More than 100 sporting organisations across the globe have partnered with Socios.com to engage with and reward their fans. Over 80 of them have already launched their Fan Token on the platform. Socios.com’s  roster features giant football clubs from Europe and Latin America such as Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC, Galatasaray, Flamengo, Palmeiras, Atlas and Chivas, amongst many others, but also the UFC and the PFL (MMA), the Davis Cup (tennis), Formula 1 teams, esports clubs and more.

Italy is a key market for Socios.com, who secured regulatory approval as a service provider of virtual currencies and digital wallets in August 2022.
